hi! welcome to texas alpha phi!
kate arey, president
My name is Kate Arey, and I am the Chapter President of Alpha Phi at the University of Texas at Austin. I am currently a Junior Health and Society major with two minors— one in business and the other in Entrepreneurship!
My job as President is to oversee the executive board, represent Alpha Phi on and off of campus, & keep our chapter operating smoothly! I’m looking forward to getting to work with each department and strengthen our already incredible sisterhood! I’m so exited for this role because of how much Alpha Phi means to me. As the daughter of a now retired Army Colonel, I constantly moved around growing up and was always having to make new friends. When I came to UT, I knew I wanted to join Greek Life in order to have a constant group of girls that would grow alongside me all four years of college. Alpha phi has given me a home away from home and helped make a big university feel a lot smaller. I’m grateful for my experience as an Alpha Phi, the amazing community I get to call my sisters, and the opportunity to be President!
Alumnae, sisters from other chapters, and future members – please feel free to contact to me with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org !
Sarah Rehburg, VP Risk Management
Hello Everyone! My name’s Sarah, and i’m a junior nursing student here at the University of Texas. I’m excited to serve on exec as VP Risk Management for this next year and seeing how our chapter grows in sisterhood and displays our individuality.
My position in Alpha Phi oversees our internal and external event coordinators and assists in planning all the fun events that Alpha Phi hosts! My position is important by ensuring that the girls of our chapter and our events are compliant with safety regulations and international contracts.
I was drawn to Alpha Phi because of how down to earth and distinctly talented the girls in this chapter are. Walking into Alpha Phi, I took notice of women who are confident in who they are and are encouraging to each other. The women in this chapter are already accomplishing so much and continue to inspire me to be pushed out of my comfort zone during my time in college!
Kameron ong, VP member education and programing
I am currently a Sophomore majoring in Speech and Language Pathology! I am so excited to be the person to welcome our new members into our chapter along with helping to create a deeper sisterhood and furthering our education!
My position oversees the new Alpha Phi members as well as Academics and Programing. I am in charge of welcoming the new members into our chapter, and showing them everything it means to be an Alpha Phi!
I love how many Alpha Phis are from out of state! Coming from out of state myself, I was nervous that I would be the only girl who was “different” in that sense. I am so glad to be surrounded by girls from all over Texas and the United States!
Marley davis, vp finance
What’s up guys! I’m Marley, and I am a double major in Interpersonal Communications and Psychology. I’m excited to work with such great girls on exec this year & to help make this year the best for the chapter and for house girls!
This year, my position in Alpha Phi is to be in charge of our chapters spending and other finances. My favorite part about this position is getting to make sure we have the perfect amount budgeted to be able to hold all of our amazing events!
The friendships I have made through being involved in Alpha Phi are worth a lifetime. These girls have shown me sisterhood in ways I could have never imagined, and I am so glad Alpha Phi not only brought me amazing friends in college, but friends I know that will always be here for me for many many years!
Riley grant, vp marketing
Hello, ladies! I’m this year’s Marketing Vice President and also a Sophomore Nursing student here at the University of Texas. I cannot wait to get to help create all our merchandise and showcase our style and sisterhood to the world!
As the VP of Marketing, I am here to lead our social medias, the design and production of our merchandise, and our parent and alumni relations. I love that I not only get to work with our current chapter members but also with our alumni and awesome Alpa Phi parents as well!
Alpha Phi has brought me opportunities I would have never had with out it! It has helped me gain experience in not only the marketing world, but I’ve also gotten to work hand and hand with amazing companies all over Austin!
emily avard, VP membership recruitment
I’m a Sophomore Liberal Arts Honors Government major, and am so excited to get to be apart of Alpha Phi’s executive board while in school here at the University of Texas! I am so ecstatic to get to showcase our sisterhood to every girl coming through recruitment this next school year.
My position is mainly charge of executing recruitment 2019. I will design, plan, and coordinate all things recruitment this year— along side my amazing team! I get to work with every member of our chapter to make sure our recruitment is the best it can be!
Moving to Austin freshman year of college was very intimidating, and going through recruitment was even more intimidating. Walking into Alpha Phi, I didn’t feel any pressure and could feel the love these girls had for each other with every word they spoke! Thats when I knew Alpha Phi was for me, and I can’t wait to make every girl that walks through our doors feel that way too!
Jacque bergeron, vp community reltions
Hey, everyone! My name is Jacque, and I am a Sophomore Textiles and Apparel major. This year, I'm looking forward to working with my amazing community relations team! They are all such creative and driven women; I know I can learn so much from them.
My position on our executive board is to lead in the planning of our philanthropy events, volunteering opportunities, and encouraging our sisters to get involved in the community!
My love for Alpha Phi started way before I was ever a member of the organization. My older sister is an Alpha Phi, and watching everything she accomplished in it, I could not wit to be apart of it! I knew it was where I was meant to be.
CAILin decort, executive administrator
What’s up guys! I'm Cailin, a Sophomore Psychology major here at the best school on earth! I’m very excited for this year because Alpha Phi has exceeded all of my expectations, and being on Exec will exceed them even more. These group of girls are so talented, driven, and compassionate and I cannot wait to see how much our chapter grows in the next year with us serving as leaders and role-models.
As Executive Administrator, my job is to operate our chapter’s point system and officer portal, prioritize our chapter’s bylaws, and plan our chapter’s ceremonies to officially welcome new members into our sisterhood.
I love Alpha Phi because it has given me memories and friendships to last a lifetime. Coming from a small town and hardly knowing anyone at UT, I was very worried to rush at such a big university. However, joining Alpha Phi has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Every girl brings something different to this chapter and our individuality has allowed me to be completely and fully myself and grow in ways I didn’t think I could.
megan mccollough, panhellenic delegate
I am currently a Junior and majoring in Education here at UT! I’m looking forward to getting to know girls from other chapters, representing our chapter, and fostering community within the larger Panhellenic community!!
In this position, I am the stepping stone between our chapter and the rest of Panhellenic. I bring Panhellenic news and opportunities to the chapter while working alongside the other Panhellenic delegates from the university’s other sororities!
Alpha Phi has given me girls and friendships I wouldn’t trade for the world. They know how to make me laugh instantly, turn a bad day into a great one, and hold me accountable when I need it.
